San Juan is located in the province of La Union, on the main island Luzon, about 250 km north of Manila. Having the South China Sea as it's surfing play ground mellow waves and a long stretch of beach allow aspiring surfers to master the waves easily. La Union is also one of the prime surfing areas in the Philippines and offers great surfing both for beginners and experienced surfers. Intermediate surfers will get the chance to try out many different waves, including several perfectly shaped right hand reef and point breaks. Newbies will especially enjoy the consistent San Juan beach break, which offers good clean lefts and rights, a great fun wave!
